The Roddy's handball Club was formed over 21 years ago. Our first match in the league was played against Sarsfields in early 1980. Among the oringinal members were Gerry and Drankie Flannagan, Tom O'Malley, Martin McCoy, Tommy Lacan, John Murphy, Bobby McLaughlin.
The Roddy McCorley handball team
The first Roddy's team shirt was chosen by the players, Billy Higgins and the Club Committee. The white shirt with green and gold trimmings has been worn all over Ireland. Over the years many league and county and individual trophies have been won with our two teams. Though always on the look out for new players, we're still going strong, and picked up a Division 3 title this year. |
